Town of Sundre - Residents Asked To Limit Unnecessary Water Use

A temporary loss of one of the town of Sundre's raw water well pumps has led to a request for residents to limit excess water use for the remainder of May and the month of June.

The town of Sundre posted on its Facebook page on Friday, May 29th that the water department is requesting residents and business owners in Sundre to limit excess water use for the remainder of May and the month of June.

That news is in light of a temporary loss of one of the town's raw water well pumps.

A new replacement is currently being built for installation in June.

While Sundre's capacity and supply of water for drinking and fire needs is operationally adequate, the town asks residents to reduce unnecessary water use such as lawn watering, sprinklers or driveway washing.

Sundre's operations department is monitoring the supply data daily and while this is a voluntary request, residents and businesses will be informed if any further restrictions are required due to supply.

The town of Sundre thanks residents for their attention to this request.
