Two suspects were arrested in Three Hills on Wednesday, February 19th following a pair of armed robberies earlier this month in Morrin and Halkirk. RCMP have laid charges and say the armed robberies were determined to be linked. A 35 year old male and a 39 year old male have been charged.
Three Hills, Alberta ~ The RCMP took two people into custody and charges have been laid in relation to two different armed robberies that were determined to be linked.
On Thursday, February 13th, the Morrin Hotel Bar was robbed by two masked and armed suspects. The stolen vehicle they fled in was abandoned and set on fire. One of the suspects was identified, and an arrest warrant was issued.
On Tuesday, February 18th, a hotel in Halkirk was robbed by a disguised suspect carrying what was believed to be a shotgun. He fled in a stolen van which was later recovered in Big Valley. A stolen shotgun was recovered from the van.
The RCMP linked the above incidents and two suspects were identified. A coordinated investigation was conducted by Drumheller, Hanna, Three Hills, Beiseker, Bashaw, Coronation and Stettler RCMP Detachments. Red Deer PDS assisted.
On Wednesday, February 19th the two suspects were arrested in Three Hills.
35 year old Chase Aaron Anderson is facing 15 charges related to the possession of stolen property in Stettler, and the robbery in Drumheller.
39 year old Robert Kristopher Paul Foster of Big Valley is facing 19 charges related to the possession of stolen property in Stettler, the robbery in Drumheller and the robbery in Halkirk.
Judicial interim release hearings have been held and both accused were released for court. They both have court dates on March 12th in Stettler and March 20th in Drumheller. Foster also has a court date on March 18th in Coronation.
The RCMP continue to investigate these and other incidents in the area.

Drumheller RCMP seeking public’s assistance in identifying armed robbery suspects
Drumheller, Alberta ~ On Thursday, February 13th at 7pm, two masked gunmen entered the Morrin Hotel Bar located in Morrin, Alberta and robbed the two employees.
Both suspects were masked and armed with long barrel firearms. The suspects left with a small amount of cash and the suspect vehicle was abandoned outside of Morrin and set on fire. The suspects fled the area in another unknown vehicle.
The employees were not physically injured during this incident. Photographs of the suspects are attached.
The Drumheller RCMP are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying the suspects involved in this incident. If you see these individuals, do not approach, as these suspects are considered armed and dangerous.
