Oldstoberfest 2020 Cancelled Due To COVID-19 Pandemic

After a long process of thoroughly assessing all options to host Oldstoberfest in the midst of the Covid-19 Pandemic, the organizing committee is saddened to announce that the difficult decision has been made to cancel Oldstoberfest 2020.

ROCK 104.5's Troy Laboucane spoke with Organizer Gillian Grant on Thursday, July 2nd.

After much deliberation, the Oldstoberfest Rodeo committee has made the difficult decision to cancel the 2020 edition of the event due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Organizer Gillian Grant with C5 Rodeo says they looked at every option possible before cancelling this year's event.

Oldstoberfest was slated to take place on September 18th and 19th, 2020.

It is now one of dozens of rodeos cancelled this summer in Canada due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The 2020 edition of the Canadian Finals Rodeo was recently cancelled as well.
