Olds College Broncos Adjusting To ACAC's COVID-19 Schedule Changes

Trina Radcliffe - the Broncos Manager of Athletics - says player safety, staff safety and fan safety was first and foremost as the Alberta College's Athletic Conference (ACAC) made the decision to postpone the competitive season until January of 2021.

The Olds College Broncos are pivoting after the fall 2020 sport season was cancelled last month by the Alberta Colleges Athletic Conference.

Trina Radcliffe, the Broncos Manager of Athletics, says player safety, staff safety and fan safety was first and foremost as the ACAC made the decision to postpone the competitive season until January.

Radcliffe says the Broncos student athletes and coaches were initially shocked and disappointed to hear the news.

She adds, Olds College still believes it can provide a fantastic student athlete experience with an extended pre-competition phase and then competition starting up in January.

Radcliffe says Olds College will have some new coaches coming in for the upcoming season.

She says Olds College will have announcements coming in the near future regarding who the new coaches will be.
