ROCK 104's 2nd BIRTHDAY BASH!!
Presented by Rock 104, Stevenson Homes, and the Olds Agricultural Society, we brought in Trooper to celebrate our 2nd Birthday!! Trooper's music has become entrenched in the lore of Canadiana and Canuck culture, arguably more than any other rock band, and they came to Olds, July 26th!

"We're Here for a Good Time (Not a Long Time)", "Raise a Little Hell", "The Boys in the Bright White Sportscar", "Two For the Show", "Pretty Lady" "Good Ol' General Hand Grenade", "Round, Round We Go", "Santa Maria", "Janine" - a few of the Trooper hits that, according to writer Ryan Sparks, "have weaved their way into the fabric of this country like no other bands have been able to do".

With special opening act Oldbury, Winners of the 2009 Rock 104 RockStar Search, over 2,000 people rocked the Olds Ag Society Grandstand! Thanks to the fols at Dee Jay's Music World in Uptowne Olds for helping sell tickets. ALL proceeds to O.A.S.

ROCK 104 proudly presented the second annual ROCK star Talent Search this fall. We had a great selection for our next shining star, with the winner receiving a professional recording from MuzikHaus in Three Hills! Their single will be played in regular rotation on Rock 104, and open doors for performances they would never otherwise get!!

And the winner is: Oldbury! This smokin hot, yet creamy sound is the perfect blend of everything you love from live rock. Their music touches all four corners of the rock spectrum: from an all out assault on your senses to groovy head-boppin, hip-shakin' melodies.
