Hockey Alberta's Atom B Boys Provincial Championships brought a total of 8 teams to Vegreville from March17-20th. In the end, the Sundre Huskies skated away with the gold medal.
The Sundre Huskies are returning from Vegreville with a Hockey Alberta Atom B boys provincial championship banner.
After losing 3-2 to Provost in the opening round, Huskies Captain Adam Werezak explains how Sundre was able to turn the tables on the Blades in the gold medal game.
Werezak was credited with 2 goals and 4 assists during the tournament. Sundre's leading scorer was Eric Layden with 5 goals and 4 assists.

Barnett was thrilled to see his team win a provincial banner for Sundre Minor Hockey.
Sundre's goaltender Mavry Fluet stopped 141 of the 153 total shots he faced as the Huskies won 4 of their 5 games at provincials.
They posted a pair of 5-3 victories over St Paul and Rimbey respectively. In the semi-finals, the Huskies won big 8-1 versus the Vegreville Wranglers.
High Prairie, High Country, the CR Knights also participated.
