Southern Alberta Ladies Curling Playdowns In Olds

The winners of the A, B and C qualifiers at the Southern Playdowns will advance to the provincial championships next month in Calgary.

The Southern Alberta Ladies Curling Playdowns are coming to Olds.
Three of the eight Southern Alberta Curling Association rinks at the playdowns will qualify for the 2016 Jiffy Lube Alberta Scotties Tournament of Hearts. It runs from January 20-24th at the North Hill Curling Club.
Draws start at 2pm on Friday, December 18th at the Olds Curling Club. Among the first match-ups is Shannon Kleibrink from the Coaldale Granite Club versus Rebecca Stretch of the Calgary Winter Club. Kleibrink won bronze for Canada at the 2006 Winter Olympics in Italy and she has made four career appearances at the Scotties Tournament of Hearts national women's curling championships.
On Saturday there are draws slated for 9:30am, 2pm and 7 o'clock. The event wraps up with two more on Sunday 9:30am and 2pm.
There is no admission charge to attend any of the Southern Alberta Ladies Curling Playdowns in Olds.
