OC Broncos Win Inaugural ACAC Women's Hockey Game

The 2015-2016 Alberta College's Athletic Conference regular season started at home and it started with a victory for the brand new Olds College Broncos women's hockey team.

Lisa Campeau's goal gave the OC Broncos a 2-1 triumph over the MacEwan University Griffins on Thursday, October 8th in Olds.

Campeau broke a 1 all tie at the 3:34 mark of the third period.

Kelly Shawara had the other goal for Olds College, while goaltender Tracie Kikuchi was the Broncos player of the game.

An estimated crowd of more than 200 spectators gathered at the SportsComplex to witness the historic first ACAC women's hockey game for Olds College.

The Broncos dropped a 6-0 decision on the road at GMU the next night to finish the first week of the season with a 1 and 1 record. 

They return to Olds to start a home and home series with the SAIT Trojans on Thursday, October 15th.
