New Arrival With OC Broncos Sets New ACAC WBB Scoring Record

Ronika Ransford set an ACAC women's basketball record with 56 points as Olds College ran away from Ambrose 125-31 on Saturday, January 16th. It was just her second game in the conference after being added to the Broncos roster by Head Coach Reg Carrick in time for this semester.

A new face in the line-up last weekend for the Olds College Broncos women's basketball team wasted little time in making an impact in the ACAC.
In only her second game ever in Canada, Ronika Ransford set a conference record with a spectacular 56 point performance.
Ransford would like to continue her scoring success but the 24 year old from Washington, D.C has a humble team first focus.
Broncos Head Coach Reg Carrick says Ransford is the best athlete - male or female - he has coached during his 20 year career.
This weekend basketball fans in Olds can see Ronika Ransford and the Broncos (5-6) host Briercrest (2-9) on Friday at 6pm and Saturday afternoon at 1. The OC men's (8-3) games versus the Clippers (2-9) follow at 8 and 3pm respectively.
The previous ACAC women's basketball record for points in a game was held by another Olds College Bronco. Jylisa Williams had 52 points in a 112-48 win over the Red Deer College Queens on February 9th, 2013.
