MV Colts Pre-season Camps
After winning the Heritage Junior B Hockey League Championship for the first time in 2015-2016, the Mountain View Colts have their sights set on defending their title.
The Colts begin a conditioning camp on Wednesday, August 17th from 7 until 8:30pm at the Carstairs Arena - ice times for that are also available this Friday and Sunday along with next Monday and Wednesday.
Colts Head Coach Gord Olsen says players between the ages of 16 and 20 are eligible to attend.
Coach Olsen was asked to reflect back on what it meant for the Colts to win their first HJHL championship.
He credits an aggressive schedule last pre-season with helping the Colts start the regular season off on the right foot as they won their first 10 games.
Filling a few key spots on the blueline is the biggest off-season need for Mountain View, according to Olsen. Graduating players like Clinton Armitage, Nicholas Miluch and Dennis Lawrence logged a ton of valuable minutes in all situations last year for the Colts.

The Mountain View Colts will hold their banner raising ceremony and kick off the 2016-2017 regular season at home in Didsbury on Friday, September 16th against the Red Deer Vipers. That contest will also kick off 96.5 CKFM's six game schedule of MV Colts hockey broadcasts for this season.
