Grizzlys Go 0-4 On Homestand

Olds was shut-out 3 to nothing by Drayton Valley on Friday to close out a rough stretch of games at the SportsComplex.

Depite outshooting the Thunder 36 to 23 the Black & Gold were unable to pick up their first win in November.

The closest the OGs would come to scoring was Spencer Dorowicz' shot on a 3rd period breakaway which clanged off the post.

Grizzlys goalie Brandon Thiessen stopped 20 of the 23 shots he faced.

Olds is now winless in 6 (a shoot-out loss to Camrose on October 27th and an overtime loss in Okotoks on November 4th have been followed up by 4 straight losses).

Tonight the Grizzlys will try to avenge last week's back-to-back home defeats versus the Bandits when they visit to Brooks at 7pm.

The last victory for the local AJHL club was 5-4 in overtime on October 26th versus the Canucks in Calgary.

Forward Brandon Clowes scored the OT winner in that game at the Max Bell Centre - he was then injured the next night against Camrose and  remains out of the line-up, the Grizzlys have not won since.

Midway through last night's game the players Olds received when Brandon Sloan was traded to the SJHL's Melfort Mustangs arrived at the SportsComplex after a long drive from Saskatchewan.

20 year old goaltender Jessse Ehnisz & 18 year old forward Ty Morgan met their teammates for the first time afterwards.

Here is our first chance to talk with newly aquired goalie Jesse Ehnisz.

Next broadcast on 96.5 CKFM is Tuesday's home game vs Spruce Grove at 7:30pm.
