Grizzlys Clinch AJHL Playoff Spot; Will Face Camrose In Opening Round

Wins have been hard to come by in 2016 for the Olds Grizzlys but on Tuesday, February 23rd they received some help to secure a post-season birth for the 11th year in a row.

When the Alberta Junior Hockey League playoffs start during the week of March 10th, the Olds Grizzlys will travel to Camrose for game one of a best of five opening round series.
The Kodiaks (34-17-4) are locked into 2nd place in the South Division, while the Grizzlys (16-37-3) will finish 7th.
It will be the first post-season Battle of the Bears since the 2008 when Camrose won a second round series with the OGs in 6 games.
Olds booked a ticket to this year's playoffs when Drumheller won 6-3 in Calgary over the last place Mustangs on Tuesday, February 23rd.
Meantime at the SportsComplex, the Grizzlys winless streak reached 14 (0-13-1) games when they fell 5-4 to Drayton Valley.
The last time Olds won a game was - of course - in Camrose by the score 3-2 on January 22nd.
