The Mountain View Colts find themselves down two games to one in the HJHL Championship Final after a 5-1 loss on the road in Cochrane last night. The hometown Generals dominated the first period, out-shooting the Colts 16-2 on their way to a 2-0 lead through 20 minutes. Captain Cole Sutherland says the slow start wasn't what they were hoping for.
The offense struggled to get anything going the rest of the way, getting one goal from Ryan Klinck while being out-shot 44-17 for the game. Sutherland says it's a tough pill to swallow for a team used to a free-flowing, high-powered offense.
The two teams meet up again tonight in Didsbury for game four. Sutherland says they know what they need to do to be successful against the Generals.
Puck drop between the Colts and Cochrane is set for 8:00 pm at the Didsbury Memorial Complex.
