Chinook Hockey League Features Four Teams This Season

The 2015-2016 season begins for the Innisfail Eagles this Saturday, October 16th with round one of the battle of the birds as they head north to face off with the Stony Plain Eagles.

The schedule has been set for the upcoming Chinook Hockey League regular season.

Four teams - the Innisfail Eagles, the Bentley Generals, the Fort Saskatchewan Chiefs and the Stony Plain Eagles - will be vying for the championship and the provincial AAA title this year.

The home opener for the Birds is on Friday, October 23rd at the Innisfail Twin Arenas at 8:30pm against Bentley.

Last season Innisfail posted a record of 10 wins, 14 losses and 1 overtime defeat to finish 3rd in the Chinook League. In the playoffs, the Eagles advanced to the Alberta finals before being eliminated by the Generals.
