Central Alberta Wrestling Club Sending Half Dozen Competitors To Nationals

Grade 12 wrestler Kevin Waldron from Olds High School captured gold in the Juvenile 85 kilogram weight class at the Alberta Open. Three other members of the Central Alberta Wrestling Club also brought back medals from the event in Edmonton.

The Alberta Open took place during the first weekend in April in Edmonton and nine members of the Central Alberta Wrestling Club were there.
 
That included 6 competitors from Olds. Kevin Waldron won gold in the Juvenile 85 kilogram weight class, while Chase Molitor picked up a silver in the Cadets 85 kilo class.
 
Also at the Alberta Open, there were 3 of the Club's members from Rocky Mountain House. In the Cadets 100 kilogram class Phoenix Graham captured a bronze. Christopher Anderson also brought back a bronze in the Cadets 50 kilo class.
 
Nationals will be taking place in Calgary from April 14th through the 17th. Kevin Waldron, Seth Quilley, Phoenix Graham, Anthony Focker, Kamryn Leavitt and Chase Molitor from the Central Alberta Wrestling Club are all scheduled to participate at the Jack Simpson Gymnasium at the University of Calgary.
