Central AB Bucs Bounced From AFL Playoffs

A 17-14 halftime lead turned into a 44-34 defeat as the Bucs were unable to advance past Grand Prairie.

The Alberta Football League season came to an end for the Central Alberta Buccaneers on Saturday night as they fielded a limited roster for an opening round playoff game in Grand Prairie.

An undermaned Bucs squad fell 44-34 to the Drillers in the AFL quarterfinals.

G.P. will move on to face the Calgary Wolfpack in the semifinals on August 11th.

The top ranked Lloydminster Vandals host the Calgary Gators in the other semi.
