Bowden Blazers Return To The Football Fields Of Central Alberta

Head Coach Chris Grudeski says the Blazers first home opener since 1976 took place on Thursday, September 10th in front of about 500 fans.

It has been about four decades since Bowden Grandview School had a football team to cheer on.

Head Coach Chris Grudeski was impressed with the way his team bounced back from a lopsided season opening loss in Hanna, to defeat Caroline 36 to 6 in Bowden.

24 players from grades 9 through 12 are part of the Bowden Grandview Blazers 6 man football team. Grudeski says the community and school reaction has been phenomenal.

The Blazers next game is at home on Thursday, September 17th at 4 o'clock versus the St. Joseph's Crusaders from Brooks.
