Big Horn Stampede Results

A local team roping tandem got off to a great start as the FCA rodeo season began over the May Long weekend in Caroline. Carson Richardson from Bowden and Greg Kruger from Sundre placed first at the 83rd edition of the Big Horn Stampede.

The first Foothills Cowboy Association event of 2016 is in the books.
 
The unofficial results from the Big Horn Stampede in Caroline saw High River's Brody Irwin post a 78 on Black Market to win in bull riding.
 
The top team ropers were Carson Richardson from Bowden and Greg Kruger from Sundre. They got the job done in 6 and 6.
 
Justin Myers from Lacombe was the winner in bareback with a 72. Jeff Heggie from Cardston was quickest in calf roping with a time of 9.3.
 
Kole Ashbacher from Arrowwood placed first in saddle bronc with a 72. Walker Guthrie from Ponoka had a 4 and 8 to win in steer wrestling.
 
Stacie Bailey from Oklahoma was fastest in ladies barrels. Her time was 16.250. The local junior barrel racing winner was Ally Pals from Rocky Mountain Housewith a two day total of 37.227.
 
The FCA junior barrels winner was Alexi Oborne from Tunner Valley with a 16.455. Tacie Tuck from Rocky Mountain House was the pee wee barrels top racer with a time of 18.242.
 
K's Thompson from Lundbreck was tops in both novice horse and junior bulls. Gary Whitford from O'Chiese First Nation won amateur bareback thanks to an 89.
 
Clarke Dickson/Paul Lees won wild cow milking. The team of Kirsten Caulison, Vicky Lind & MacKenzie Jenning captured the pack horse race.
