The Westview Co-op food store in Carstairs has teamed up with the RCMP and they will be set up with a police car to fill up with donations on Saturday, January 18th from 10am until 2pm. General Manager Dennis Laing says they had great support for the "Cram the Cruiser" event at the Westview Co-op food store in Olds on Saturday, January 11th. According to Laing, 2 police cruisers were filled with over 27-hundred pounds of food for the Mountain View Food Bank.
The Mountain View Food Bank will be receiving a big boost this month thanks to the Westview Co-op, the RCMP and the generosity of the community.

Laing adds, some cash and gift cards were donated as well.
He discusses how the idea came about.
He says Westview Co-op and the RCMP will have another "Cram the Cruiser" event this weekend in Carstairs.
Community members can bring down non-perishable food items or pick up a couple in the store to contribute to the food bank, according to Laing.
Community members are encouraged to head to the Westview Co-op Food in Carstairs on Saturday, January 18th from 10am until 2pm.
