Town Of Sundre - Public Survey On Legalization Of Non-Medical Cannabis & Retail Stores

The town of Sundre continues to circulate its survey regarding the legalization of non-medical cannabis and retail stores for community input.

There is now have a date for when it will be legal for Canadians to buy and consume cannabis.

As of October 17th, Canada will be the first industrialized country to legalize recreational marijuana nationwide.

But the Trudeau government says until that date - pot is still illegal.
 
Meanwhile, the town of Sundre continues to circulate its community input survey regarding the legalization of non-medical cannabis and retail stores.
 
Mayor Terry Leslie says they will take a cautionary look as to what is coming down from the federal and provincial governments.
 
 
 
 
 
Mayor Leslie says the tabulation of the survey results will be helpful for council to see the community's perspective on the topic.
 
He adds, there has been pretty good public participation in the survey so far.
 
 
 
The survey is on the town of Sundre website or it is also available at the town Office.
