The Town of Olds has a number of construction projects underway as we move past the summer Oldstice weekend.
The Town of Olds is working on a number of construction projects over the summer months.
Throughout town there will be new sidewalks, crosswalks, and various repairs.
Chief Operating Officer Scott Chant talks about the new set of traffic lights on Highway 27, which have been live for the last week.
Chant adds the crosswalks at that intersection will also allow pedestrians to cross safely all 4 ways.
He says crews are working on the 2019 Municipal Improvement Program.
Chant adds there will also be sidewalk repairs in that area and new pavement.
He says another project is on 43rd Street Close where there will be a new road.
Crews continue to work on the new Rotary Athletic Park of Olds this summer as well, according to Chant.
Meanwhile, the flowers are out and staff are actively mowing grass and line painting this summer.
