Town of Olds - Spring Clean Up Week

Once a year the town of Olds puts on a spring clean up week to help tidy up extra garbage that has been collected over winter. Chief Operating Officer Scott Chant says for this week's black garbage bin pick-up, normal volume limits are waived and residents can place clearly labelled excess or bulky material at their curbside.

The Town of Olds is continuing its annual spring clean up week.
Chief Operating Officer Scott Chant says normal volume limits are waived for this week's black garbage bin pick up and residents can place clearly labelled excess or bulky material at their curbside.
While tidying up your yard, Chant says Black Knot Disease is something to look out for. He says it is here in back in the country, which includes Olds. Chant notes that Black Knot Disease will eventually kill your tree, so it needs to be dealt with.
More information on black knot disease is on the town's website
Meanwhile, as of Monday, Chant says the town's snow removal total budget was presented.
Chant says on average, this snow removal budget is a little bit higher than a normal year. However he adds, it has been higher in the past.
