Town Of Olds Fire Department - Residential Structure Fire

On Tuesday, August 15th at about 7:40pm the town of Olds Fire Department was dispatched to a residential structure fire in the 4800 block of 48th Street.

Upon arrival at a residential structure fire on Tuesday, August 15th an attack crew encountered smoke in the basement and evidence of a furnace room fire.

A second engine crew was staged at the hydrant to the east corner of 48th Street.

One basement wall and partial ceiling had to be removed to verify no further extension of the fire.

The origin of the fire has been determined to be near the water heater and surrounding wall. No injuries were reported.

The cause of the fire is under investigation. The damage estimate is over $3000.
