Terry Fox Run - Details For Didsbury & Water Valley

Community members in Didsbury and Water Valley will be among those across Canada who will help contribute to the Terry Fox Foundation on Sunday, September 16th by walking, running or bike riding.

Many Canadians will be participating in the Terry Fox Run on Sunday, September 16th.

Didsbury Fire Chief Craig Martin says they are organizing the local run and says it is a great time to come together as a community.

 

 

The run starts at 1 o'clock on Sunday, you can register on the trail just across from the Zion Church in Didsbury. A BBQ will follow for participants and community.

Meantime, a total of $157,000 dollars has been raised during the Water Valley Terry Fox Run since it was started in 1984.

Organizer Mary Thompson says the run goes rain or shine on Sunday.

She says the money raised goes to the Terry Fox Foundation.

 


You can register at 8:30AM with the run from 9-2 on Sunday. There will be water stations and a BBQ to follow at the new Water Valley Hall.
