52 year old Ross Knight from St. Walburg, Saskatchewan was the winner of the penultimate event of the 2018 World Professional Chuckwagon Association season. He captured the $10,000 Dash for Cash in Dawson Creek, B.C during this year's Battle of the North.

Ross Knight wound up being the winner of the $10,000 Dash for Cash and was crowned champion at the World Professional Chuckwagon Associations 2018 Battle of the North in Dawson Creek, B.C.
The 52 year old from St. Walburg, Saskatchewan won the championship with penalty free run of 1:17.63 from barrel position number 4.
Codey McCurrach from Eckville crossed the finish line first. However, he was assessed a 1 second penalty for his wagon being ahead of the barrel placed second from barrel number 1. McCurrach finished 35 one-hundredths of a second behind Knight.
Vern Nolin from Dewberry grabbed third from barrel position number 2, while aggregate winner Kurt Bensmiller - also from Dewberry - placed fourth from barrel position number 1.
96.5 CKFM will have live coverage of the final event of the 2018 season for the WPCA later this week from Rocky Mountain House.
The chuckwagon races in Rocky run from Thursday, August 16th through Sunday, August 19th. Thursday to Saturday the broadcasts start at 6:45pm. Sunday gets underway at 1:45.
