Remembrance Day - Town of Olds

The Olds Remembrance Day Service is at the Ralph Klein Centre in the Olds High School Gym on Saturday, November 11th. The service begins at 10:30. Following the service there will be a quick ceremony at the cenotaph at Centennial Park then a gathering at the Royal Canadian Legion Olds Branch #105.

There will be many local Remembrance Day services on Saturday, November 11th to acknowledge the past and present members of Canada's armed forces who sacrificed for our freedom.

Anderson feels it is important to remember.
 
 
She also believes in keeping Remembrance Day alive for future generations.

Anderson says the legion is active in attending the Remembrance Day services at all local schools.
 
She also thanks the community for their support during the poppy campaign where the funds raised support veterans and equipment for the hospital.
 
Anderson says the poppy blitz by the 185 Olds Royal Canadian Air Cadets raised over $3-thousand dollars and the poppy donation boxes around town will be collected next week.
