Red Deer RCMP investigating shooting

The Red Deer RCMP are investigating a shooting that occured shortly before 2AM Thursday morning.

It is alleged that a male & female were removed from the Gent's Club on 50th Avenue, the male went out to a vehicle & retrieved a gun and went back to the club where he fired shots into the door.

Police say a 41 year old employee was shot and taken to the Red Deer Regional Hospital. An innocent bystander was grazed by a bullet, but didn't seek medical attention.

RCMP arrested an 18 year old female & a 26 year old male, both of Sylvan lake, at a residence in the town. Charges are pending. If you have any information that could assist police as they continue to investigate, call the Red Deer RCMP at 403 343 5575

That includes separation from schools, public parks, hospitals and other cannabis stores.

    The switch was flipped to turn on the new runway lighting system at the Olds/Didsbury Regional Airport on Wednesday evening. Craig Chapman is a member of the airport's operations committee. He says the old system had deteriorated, so they really needed new wiring in the ground and they also upgraded to new LED lights which will use about one-third less power.
