Over 125 students from St. Marguerite Bourgeoys Catholic School in Innisfail will go through a powerful learning experience on Monday, May 6th at 11am. As part of North American Occupational Safety & Health week, they will get a chance to see how local RCMP and Emergency Medical Technicians respond to a critical situation.
In support of North American Occupational Safety & Health week, there is a mock incident taking place in Innisfail at 11am on Monday, May 6th.
Grade 4,5,6 and 7 Students at St. Marguerite Bourgeoys Catholic School will observe what happens when things go wrong for a distracted student involved in a vehicle collision while riding a bike.
Lisa Vogt, Occupational Health & Safety Coordinator with Red Deer Catholic Regional Schools, says this is the key event for the students during this important week.
She says the mock incident is part of a campaign to make safety a habit.
