An update on the school's design process was given at the Chinook's Edge School Division Board of Education meeting on Wednesday.
Penhold's new school is slowly starting to become a reality.
The conceptual design process is nearly complete and the preliminary architectural plans are expected to be submitted to Alberta Education for approval at the beginning of February
Allan Tarnoczi, Assistant Superintendent with Chinook's Edge School Division,
says the school's design will fit well into Education Minister Thomas
Lukaszuk's ten point plan for the province's education, as it will include
components for the community.
A major design feature will see the school integrated with the town's multiplex.
The school's designs are available for viewing on the Alberta Education website.
Construction on the school is expected to start this summer with a completion date of September 2014.
