Open House Held For MV County's Highway 2/27 Area Structure Plan

THE COMMITTEE IN CHARGE OF THE HIGHWAY 2/27 AREA STRUCTURE PLAN FIELDED QUESTIONS FROM A PACKED ROOM OF RESIDENTS WHO WERE EAGER TO LEARN MORE ABOUT THE NEW DEVELOPMENTS COMING.

ANDY SWEETMAN, CHAIRMAN FOR THE H2/27 ASP COMMITTEE, WAS PLEASED WITH THE TURN OUT AT THE OLDS GOLF CLUB FOR THE PUBLIC MEETING.

HE SAYS THE INPUT COLLECTED IS VALUABLE AS THEY MOVE FORWARD WITH THE PLAN.

NORM MCINNIS, CHIEF ADMINISTRATIVE OFFICER FOR THE TOWN OF OLDS BELIEVES THE DEVELOPMENTS ARE EXCITING.

HOWEVER HE SAYS OLDS STILL NEEDS TO LOOK AT WAYS THIS COULD NOT ONLY BENEFIT, BUT ALSO HARM THE TOWN'S ECONOMY AS BUSINESSES ARE MOVING TO MOUNTAIN VIEW COUNTY INSTEAD.

THE MEETING OUTLINED WHICH AREAS ARE SUGGESTED FOR RESIDENTIAL DEVELOPMENTS, AGRICULTURE AND BUSINESSES.

ANOTHER MEETING WILL BE ANNOUNCED IN THE NEAR FUTURE AS THE HIGHWAY 2/27 AREA STRUCTURE PLAN PROCESS CONTINUES.
