Olds RCMP Investigate Shots Fired Into Residence Near Eagle Hill

No injuries were reported after Olds RCMP were called to the scene of an incident where shots were fired through a residence of a rural home near Eagle Hill on Sunday, April 14th.

Olds, Alberta - On Sunday, April 14, 2019 at approximately 4:40 AM, the Olds RCMP responded to a complaint of shots being fired through a residence window and wall of a rural home near Eagle Hill. 

The sole occupant of the home, a 59 year old male, told police that he was awake in his living room when he saw vehicle headlights approaching on the roadway.  Moments later he heard several shots fired.   Once at the scene, police confirmed that the residence had been struck by gun fire and that no injuries occurred as a result.

Police believe that the victim was targeted and that there is currently no indication of a risk to the general public.  As the investigation is ongoing, no further details will be released at this time.
