Olds Grizzlys Add Size Up Front As Local Forward Signs AJHL Letter Of Intent

A big local prospect is set to join the Alberta Junior Hockey League's Olds Grizzlys. 17 year old forward Jordan Saunders from Olds signed his letter of intent during a press conference on Wednesday, February 5th at the Olds Curling Club.

Jordan Saunders from Olds has signed a letter of intent to join his town junior 'A' hockey team.

Following a press conference at the Olds Curling Club on Wednesday, February 5th the 17 year old forward is set to join the Olds Grizzlys for the 2020-2021 Alberta Junior Hockey League season.

Saunders will add some size up front to the team as he stands 6 feet 3 inches tall and weighs about 180 pounds.

Saunders has 21 goals, 38 points and 48 penalty minutes so far this seaon in 26 games for the Olds Midget AA Grizzlys.

He talks about getting this opportunity to play for his hometown AJHL team.

The Olds Midget AA Grizzlys have posted a record of 15-8-and-3 which is good for 2nd place in the South Central Alberta Hockey League's North Conference.

Saunders has made 4 appearances in AJHL games as part of the 2019-2020 regular season but is still looking to register his first point.
