Olds Grizzlys - Adam Redmond Released As Head Coach & General Manager

The Olds Grizzlys Board of Directors and Adam Redmond have made a tough decision to mutually part ways.

Adam Redmond has been released as the Head Coach & General Manager of the Olds Grizzlys.
During his first year as bench boss & GM in Olds, Redmond compiled a record of 18-37 and 5. Olds missed the Alberta Junior Hockey League playoffs for the first time since the 2004-2005 season.

Grizzlys Team President Darcy Dallas says the Board of Directors and Redmond made the tough decision to mutually part ways.
Didsbury's Joe Murphy was an assistant coach for the Grizzlys this past season, and Dallas says - effective immediately - Murphy has been named Interim Head Coach.
Dallas explains what Murphy's Interim Head Coach responsibilities will include.


Last season was the first for Murphy as an Assistant Coach with the local AJHL club. He played for the Grizzlys from 1992 through 1995 and was part of the Centennial Cup winning season.
Dallas details where things currently stand with the Grizzlys other first year Assistant Coach Blake Wildeman.
The local AJHL club also announced that Doug Hergenhein has been removed as Head Scout and Director of Player Personnel.
The Grizzlys organization would like to thank Redmond and Hergenhein for their efforts and wish them well in their future endeavours.
