Olds Fireman Bucket Challenge

The town of Olds Fire Department will be putting one of its members into the basket of the ladder truck and hoisting him 80 feet in the air. The Olds Fireman Bucket Challenge will start at 9am on Thursday, December 14th and it will continue until their goal of collecting $2500 dollars cash and or 2000 pounds of food is reached. The latest it will go is until midnight.

The Olds Fire Department is holding a unique fundraiser this holiday season to support several local charities.
 
Lieutenant Phillip Finlay with the OFD runs down the details on what they have planned.
 
 
Finlay explains who they will be putting in the basket and lifting 80 feet in the air.
 
 
He says proceeds will support the Mountain View Food Bank, the Olds & District Christmas Angels Society and Chinook Arch Victim Services.
 
 
The fundraiser starts at 9am on Thursday, December 14th nd Finlay says they will be set up in the parking lot between No Frills and the Olds RCMP Detachment facing 65th Avenue.
