OHS Remembrance Day Assembly

Principal Tom Christensen says the Remembrance Day Assembly at Olds High School took place at 1:05pm on Thursday, November 7th and they welcomed in the Olds Royal Canadian Legion, a colour guard, the RCMP and a veteran who served as the guest speaker. The OHS choir and band also performed during the formal service.

Olds High School held its Remembrance Day Service on Thursday, November 7th.

Principal Tom Christensen it is important for students to remember and he feels Remembrance Day is very meaningful to them.

Meanwhile, the Olds Community Remembrance Day service is at the Ralph Klein Centre on Monday, November 11th.

Christensen says OHS students are involved in the ceremony with the choir, band and tech work.

He loves to see the community come together on Remembrance Day.

Doors open at 9;30am, the parade at 10:15, and the service starts at 10:30 on Monday morning at Olds High School.

Christensen adds, OHS students were also involved in the No Stone Left Alone ceremony held earlier this month at the Olds Cemetery.

The Innisfail Legion is holding their Remembrance Day service on Monday at the Legion. Please be seated by 9:45am, the ceremony starts at 10.

The Carstairs Remembrance Day Service is at Hugh Sutherland School on Monday. Doors open at 10 and ceremony at 10:30. Lunch at the Legion will follow.

The Didsbury Army Cadets host the Remembrance Day Service on Monday at Zion Church in Didsbury. Doors open at 10. The Colour Party will enter at 10:30.

And the Sundre Remembrance Day ceremony is Monday at River Valley School starting at 10:30am.
