OC Broncos WSOC & MSOC Begin 2017 ACAC Season At SAIT

The Broncos soccer teams kick off their 2017 ACAC regular seasons on Saturday, September 9th in Calgary versus the SAIT Trojans.

A trip to Calgary is on the agenda for the Olds College Broncos as they will kick off their ACAC soccer season against the SAIT Trojans.
Broncos Athletic Director Linda Henderson says Head Coach Macky Singh has his full compliment of 4 international players on the men's team this year.

Olds College's 2nd year Centreback Tobias Walch from Shakespeare, Ontario explains what he likes about Coach Singh.

The Broncos men's soccer team will be looking to improve on last season's 1 and 9 record. Walch is one of the returning players who is excited for a new year to start.
Meantime, the women's soccer team from Olds College was 5-4-1 last year and made the playoffs for the first time before losing out in the ACAC quarter-finals.
Henderson likes the job Coach Singh has done to prepare the Broncos for a year in which they will host the ACAC women's soccer championships in October
3rd year Centreback Jasmine Flett from Winnipeg, Manitoba believes the experience the Broncos gained in 2016 will serve them well.

She feels they have a strong leadership group at Olds College.

Flett hopes her final season at Olds College with her sisters - Jamie & Jessie - will be a special one.

Coach Singh really supports his players, according to Flett.

Flett thinks beginning the season in Calgary against SAIT will be a good challenge for the Broncos.

A 3 game road swing to begin the year will also see the Broncos visit Red Deer College on Saturday, September 16th and Lakeland College on Sunday, September 17th.

Olds College's soccer teams will have their ACAC home openers on Saturday, September 23rd versus Medicine Hat College.
