MVSH Holds Well Attended Open House For New Sundre Seniors' Lodge

An open concept facility complete with in-house cooked meals, a library, activity rooms, and even a scooter garage are some of the amazing features residents living at the new Mountain View Seniors' Housing Lodge in Sundre will get to experience. An open house for residents and visitors to see first hand what took five years of planning by MVSH and Mountain View County municipalities took place on Thursday, June 23rd.

Nestled in the Town of Sundre with a great view of the mountains, the new Mountain View Seniors' Housing Lodge has thought of everything for its residents.
An open house was recently held for visitors to have a full tour of the facility and what it has to offer.
Retired Licensed Practical Nurse Joanne Reese has been in the care giving field for 50 years. For seniors to have a facility like this to enjoy at this stage of their life is phenomenal, according to Reese.
Reese, who is also a care giver to a 95 year old woman named Agnes, will help her move into the lodge with her husband of 66 years.
She says the features of the lodge make it feel like a home for residents.
Reese also credits the Mountain View Seniors' Housing staff.
Reeve of Mountain View County - as well as Chair of Mountain View Seniors' Housing - Bruce Beattie was not about to miss the open house and he was very pleased with the number of visitors who showed up.
The community can look forward to working towards a new MVSH facility in Carstairs in the next 4-5 years, according to Reeve Beattie.
He referred to the new Sundre seniors' lodge as a beautiful facility.
The MVSH lodge in Sundre has 104 suites. It features independent living, lodge suites, supportive living, and dementia care quarters.
