MV Power Information & Registration Night Tomorrow

The Olds Institute For Community & Rural Development hopes to become a self-sufficient organization thanks to a boost from Mountain View Power.

Mountain View Power is holding an information & registration night tomorrow from 4:30 til 7:30 at the Olds Library.

Dale Belsher, Chair of MV Power, believes the community initiative to start a utility company is an innovative way to support the town.

According to Belsher, 100 per cent of the profits generated go towards helping the Olds Institute for Community & Regional Development reach its goal of become self-sufficient.

Mountain View Power currently has 201 customers.

Belsher says their goal is to more than double that total so they'll be able to contribute $50,000 per year to the Olds Institute for Community & Regional Development.
