Morgan Grant From Didsbury Wins Another High Point Championship At CFR

Morgan Grant from Didsbury is the winner of back to back High Point championships at the Canadian Finals Rodeo. With close to $80,000 dollars for the 2017 season, Grant finished over $10,000 dollars ahead of Stettlar's Riley Warren in the High Point standings.

Didsbury's Morgan Grant is celebrating another Canadian High Point championship following the 44th CFR in Edmonton.
This is the third time the 28 year old Grant has won the High Point title.
The 28 year old discusses how he felt each event went at the 44th CFR. 
Grant explains what helped him earn nearly $27,000 dollars in Tie-Down Roping at this year's CFR and almost $13,000 in Steer Wrestling.
He was first in Tie-Down Roping on Sunday, November 12th at the CFR with a time of 8.4 seconds. Grant also had a 1-2 split on Thursday, November 9th with a 7 and 9.
Grant was pleased with his 2017 season.
Grant first won the High Point championship in 2013 and he has now won it in each of the last 2 years.

Upon arrival, crews determined there was no fire, but there was smoke being produced inside one of the occupancies from malfunctioning electrical equipment. According to the OFD, the nature of the incident was due to the failure of an electrical transformer from a nearby power service. No injuries were reported.
