Let's Talk About Travel Destinations During This Seemingly Endless Alberta Winter

It has not been a typical spring weather wise and there is about a 40 degree temperature change this week from Central Alberta to tropical destinations. Owner of Expedia CruiseShipCentres Mountain View Vicky Barzey says they have had some great last minute bookings due to the cold weather this week.

Being tired of the cold and snow - especially when it is supposed to be spring - is leading Central Albertans to head for warmer destinations.

The Owner of Expedia CruiseShipCenters Mountain View says they have had some great last minute bookings for clients this week.

Vicky Barzey says popular last minute destinations have been Mexico, Dominican Republic and Cuba.

She says Mexican vacations are still coming in strong.

For travelers who want to plan ahead, Barzey says the South Pacific is definitely a vacation spot you need to look at.

Barzey recommends booking 8-12 months in advance if you are wanting to go on a cruise.

She says Disney is also still popular and a great place to go as a family and the third week of April will be a prime time to go there during the local school break.
