Let Them Be Kids-Holy Trinity-Olds Barn Raising

Community volunteers will help Olds' Holy Trinity Catholic School build a new playground this Saturday (September 22nd).

Lorrie Johnson, President of the Parent Teachers' Association, says the project has been funded by a national sponsorship award through the 'Let Them Be Kids Foundation'.

Johnson says the playground will be dedicated in memory of Corporal Nathan Hornburg.

Hornburg was a member of the Kings Own Regiment - a proud unit which has ties to Olds through the recruitment of the men who participated in the Dieppe Raid & where 'A' squadron was posted immediately following World War II.

According to Johnson in order to get a playground built at the school they have partnered with many local groups including the Knights of Columbus, IODE, the Catholic Women's League, Girl Guides & the town of Olds.
