Human Remains Found West of Innisfail

Innisfail RCMP members were dispatched to a rural area in the Red Deer County area on Sunday October 9th. The condition and state of the remains are being investigated as suspicious in nature.

A media report says the body of a missing Edmonton-area woman has been discovered in a field in central Alberta.

An Edmonton radio station (CHED) says Dana Jane Turner was found about 10 kilometres west of Innisfail.

The report also says RCMP have told the 31-year-old woman's family that it appears the Fort Saskatchewan resident was murdered.

Turner disappeared from the Edmonton area on August 14th when she was seen leaving a west-end hotel in a rental car with an unknown man.

RCMP confirm a woman's body was found Sunday west of Innisfail but the remains have not been officially identified.

Officers from the RCMP Serious Crimes Branch are investigating.
