Hockeyville Prize Nets Didsbury New Arena Sound System

The $25,000 top ten prize for arena upgrades from the Kraft Hockeyville contest has resulted in a new sound system being installed in the Didsbury Memorial Complex.

An unveiling for the new sound system at the Didsbury Memorial Complex was held prior to the Mountain View Colts HJHL game on Saturday, December 9th.
Local resident Kathleen Windsor submitted Didsbury's winning entry to the Kraft Hockeyville contest.
Windsor was proud of how the community voted for Didsbury and helped the town finish in the top ten, which resulted in the $25,000 prize for arena upgrades.

Mayor Rhonda Hunter was thrilled with Didsbury's ability to gain national recognition through the contest.

Hunter says the sound system was selected as the Hockeyville project for Didsbury that would benefit the most number of users at the arena throughout the year.

Didsbury was one of 5 communities chosen to represent Western Canada during the Kraft Hockeyville contest last March.
