Hear MLA Jason Nixon Comments On Electoral Boundary Commission's Final Report

MLA Jason Nixon says his riding of Rimbey-Rocky Mountain House-Sundre will stay in its current form with some additions. The Electoral Boundary Commission's Final Report was released on October 19th.

The electoral boundary for a local MLA's riding will see some changes, according to the final report from the Electoral Boundary Commission.

MLA Jason Nixon says the previous draft report included adding Drayton Valley to his already large riding of Rimbey-Rocky Mountain House-Sundre.

He says there was a lot of push back from communities not understanding why there would be such a large riding.

Nixon says his riding of Rimbey-Rocky Mountain House-Sundre will stay in its current form, however it will now end south of Water Valley, plus adding some small towns in Wetaskiwin County.

He says the report will now go to the legislature and will be voted on by MLA's in middle to late November.

There is still more time to send your feedback about the electoral boundaries to MLA Nixon or the Alberta Government.
