Jared Power would then go on to score the winning goal in the third round of the shootout on Saturday, November 11th as the Olds Grizzlys stunned the first place team in the AJHL's South Division.

The Black & Gold rallied from a 2 to nothing first period deficit to get to overtime thanks to a pair of second period goals. Power scored at even strength and forward Quentin Greenwood ('97) from Red Deer tallied on a 4 on 3 power play. The Grizzlys would eventually outlast the Okotoks Oilers 3-2 in a shootout.
