The family trail ride and poker rally with the Friends of the Eastern Slopes has been moved to a different location due to a wildfire.

President of the Friends of the Eastern Slopes Association Larry Frischke says rather than cancel the ride, they decided to change the location to the Eagle Creek Campground.

He says an email has also been sent out to all their members.

The Bighorn Campground is still closed and will remain closed through the coming weekend.

Registration for the ride is from 9am-11 with presentations around 4 o'clock and dinner at 6pm on Saturday, August 18th.

Meanwhile, the fire advisory in the Rocky Forest Area is moderate as of the morning of Wednesday, August 15th.

According to the Rocky Forest Area, the Skeleton Creek wildfire is now listed as being held and lightning was determined to be the cause.
