Didsbury Car Club - Fuel-A-Palooza 2019

Fuel-a-palooza is an action packed 3 day motorfest in downtown Didsbury. Register your vehicle on Saturday, May11th at 8:30AM for the 27th annual Didsbury Show 'n Shine. There is also a beer garden Saturday night and the cabaret is at the Didsbury Saloon this year.

It looks like there is a sunny weekend ahead for the 2019 edition of Fuel-a-palooza.
 
President of the Didsbury Car Club Dana Munn notes they have a full weekend planned which starts with the Friday night cruise.
 
 
He says classic cars will line the streets of Didsbury.
 
 
The Friday night cruise meets at the Excalibur Building in Didsbury to register.
 
The cruise will end at Mountain View Dodge in Olds where they are hosting a drive in movie featuring "Grease"
 
Donations will support victim services.

  • Town of Didsbury - 1.73% Decrease In Tax Revenue Requirement

    Didsbury council approved the town's 2019 tax rate bylaw during the regular meeting on Tuesday, May 14th. Mayor Rhonda Hunter says there will be a 2% decrease for the business community on the non-residential side. As for residential ratepayers, there is a 2% increase. Hunter adds the assessments overall in the community are down compared to last year, generally due to the economic outlook in Alberta. Non-residential ratepayers will save about $70 in taxes compared to last year, following a discussion with the Didsbury Chamber according to Mayor Hunter.
