Didsbury Ages 2-12 Park Grand Opening

Didsbury's first ages 2-12 park is now open.

A grand opening bbq was held on Friday at the Kinsmen Toddler Park as kids & parents celebrated their new summertime destination.

Chelsea Hopfe, President of the Didsbury Playground Society, says while there were 7 playgrounds in Didsbury already none of them were toddler appropriate.

She says they've been fundraising for 14 months to purchase suitable equipment for the age group.

According to Hopfe they plan on putting in a bike trail, traffic signs & perhaps some benches as well as picnic tables.

Meantime, Movie for the Park will be held on Friday at the Zion Gymnasium starting at 7PM.

They will be showing "The Lorax". There will also be a concession & prizes for a suggested donation of $5 per person.
