The pre-kindergarten program is being offered at more schools as the popularity has grown.

Many kids getting set to start kindergarten this fall in Chinook's Edge School Division have already started to connect with their teachers and school thanks to a number of programs.

Chinook's Edge has been working with playschools and pre-schools, as well as with the pre-kindergarten programs that have been running for the past 4 years at the schools in Olds, Sylvan Lake and Penhold.

Dawn Weststrate, Early Intervention Coordinator, recommends that parents talk to their local school about whether their child would benefit from the pre-kindergarten program.

Enrollment in the pre-kindergarten programs has only grown, and it's expected to be offered in more schools in the near future.

Kindergarten registration is underway across Chinook's Edge. Contact your local school for more information.
