Alberta Transportation To Make Sundre Main Avenue Presentaion

The Sundre & District Chamber of Commerce is inviting business who are on Main Avenue to a meeting with Alberta Transportation as they discuss traffic calming and safety concerns in that area.

Alberta Transportation representatives will be on hand in Sundre so businesses to get a look at their plans to address the safety concerns on Main Avenue/Highway 27 in town.
Sundre Chamber President Mike Beukeboom says the engineer who designed the plan will be presenting and gathering feedback regarding traffic calming and pedestrian safety. He says it is a high priority for the provincial government.
Beukeboom says after the meeting with businesses, a presentation with industry representatives will take place on January 12th.
He adds, discussions have been ongoing for a year and a half with the province, the town, the chamber, and Mountain View County.
The Alberta Transportation meeting for businesses on Main Ave is Thursday, December 10th at 6pm at the old Scouts Hall behind the arena.
